/ WHERE COVE WINS

If you're B2B SaaS,
Cove fits your shape.

No ticket tiers to manage

Gorgias prices by ticket volume. Have a marketing push or a status incident, and your billing tier tips into overage. Most lean B2B SaaS teams don't have predictable ticket counts month to month. Cove is flat: spikes don't change your bill. More on volume-based pricing.

AI runs free, not per resolution

Gorgias AI Agent is metered at roughly $1 per resolution. A team handling 1,000 AI-resolved tickets a month spends about $12,000/yr in AI fees on top of the Pro plan. Cove drafts on every ticket inside the flat £99/month. The AI runs as freely as the inbox.

Shadow Mode means zero-risk trial

Cove can run alongside Gorgias for 30 days. We import your tickets via the Gorgias API, mirror new ones in read-only, and your team sees Cove's drafts on real tickets without anything being sent. If it isn't better, you walk. No migration weekend, no cutover risk.

B2B SaaS knowledge model

Gorgias's knowledge model is order-shaped: order ID, shipping status, refund flow. Cove's knowledge model is docs-shaped: API references, product behaviour, edge cases, integration gotchas. Both are right for their domain. If your support volume is mostly "how do I do X in the product" rather than "where is my order", Cove indexes that shape natively.

/ WHERE GORGIAS WINS

Honest section.
If you're ecommerce, stay on Gorgias.

Shopify, Magento, BigCommerce integration

Gorgias was built around ecommerce. Order lookups, address changes, refund flows, abandoned-cart context, subscription state: it pulls all of that into the ticket sidebar natively. If your support team's day is "find the order, edit the address, refund the line item, reply", Gorgias is purpose-built. Cove is not.

Revenue attribution per ticket

Gorgias tracks revenue from each ticket: which conversations led to a checkout, which agents drove the most sales-via-support. If you measure support as a revenue function and report it that way to merchandising, Gorgias gives you that ledger out of the box. Cove doesn't.

Ecommerce-shaped automations

"Customer asked about order X, status is Y, send template Z" is a one-rule automation in Gorgias. The pre-built integrations with Shopify, Recharge, Loop Returns, ShipStation make patterns like this trivial. Cove handles general workflow rules but doesn't ship the ecommerce-stack-aware patterns.

/ MIGRATION TEARDOWN

How Cove imports your Gorgias.

The import runs through the Gorgias REST API in under an hour for most accounts under 50,000 tickets. Nothing is mutated in your Gorgias instance. You keep Gorgias live while Cove ingests.

Tickets → pulled via /api/tickets (paginated, includes messages, attachments, tags, custom fields)
Customers → /api/customers (with integration IDs preserved for Shopify cross-reference)
Macros → imported as Cove canned responses, then optionally promoted to AI prompt templates
Rules + automations → mapped to Cove workflow rules where conditions translate 1:1; flagged for review where Gorgias-specific (Shopify lookups, etc.)
Views → converted to Cove saved filters
Help Center articles → imported into Cove's knowledge base, indexed for citation
Tags → preserved as Cove tags

We don't import: Shopify / Magento / BigCommerce sidecar integration state (Cove doesn't have the ecommerce sidebar), revenue attribution history (different data model), AI Agent training data and configuration.

/ FAQ

Questions we get.

We're on Shopify. Should we even consider Cove?

If most of your support tickets need order lookups, address changes, or refund flows in the same surface as the reply, stay on Gorgias. That's the workflow it was built for. Cove fits SaaS-shaped support: product questions, integration help, account configuration, docs lookups. We'd rather tell you that than win the wrong deal.

Can I keep Gorgias during a trial?

Yes. Shadow Mode mirrors your Gorgias inbox into Cove read-only. Your team sees Cove's drafts on real tickets without anything being sent. Gorgias stays the source of truth until you decide to cut over.

What happens when ticket volume spikes?

On Gorgias, you either tier up (more monthly fee) or pay per-ticket overage. On Cove, nothing changes. A product launch, a marketing push, a status incident: the bill stays £99/month. The AI scales with the volume at no extra cost.

How does Cove's AI compare to Gorgias AI Agent?

Both draft replies and can resolve common questions. Gorgias AI Agent is priced per resolution; it's tuned to deflect ecommerce-shaped queries (where is my order, how do I return). Cove's AI is included in the flat fee; it's tuned to draft B2B SaaS replies with sources cited so a human can verify and approve. Different pricing model, different default workflow.

What if Cove doesn't work for us?

Shadow Mode means you find out during trial, not after switching. Nothing is destructive. You stay on Gorgias. We don't have a cancellation department because there's nothing to cancel until you cut over.

Run Cove next to Gorgias for 30 days.

If it's not better, you keep Gorgias. No tax.
